Dashboard
When you open a collection, you land on the dashboard. It gives you a high-level overview of how search is performing on your blog over the last 30 days.
Content Insights
The top of the dashboard shows three panels highlighting the most important trends:
Popular Search Queries
A ranked list of the queries your readers search for most, along with a trend indicator showing how each query's volume has changed compared to the previous period. Use this to understand what topics your audience cares about.
Popular Tags
Shows which content categories (Ghost tags) are attracting the most clicks through search. This helps you identify your blog's strongest topic areas.
Most Clicked Posts
Lists the posts that receive the most clicks from search results. Each entry links directly to the post on your blog so you can see what's resonating.
Search Performance Summary
Four metrics give you a snapshot of overall search health:
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Total Searches | The number of search queries performed in the last 30 days. |
| Total Clicks | How many times a reader clicked a search result. |
| Click-Through Rate | The percentage of searches that led to at least one click. A higher CTR means your content is matching what readers are looking for. |
| Zero-Results Rate | The percentage of searches that returned no results. A high rate suggests content gaps or search configuration issues. |
Each metric includes a trend indicator comparing to the previous 30-day period.
Content Statistics
At the bottom of the dashboard you'll find:
- Posts indexed -- The number of published posts in your search index.
- Pages indexed -- The number of published pages in your search index.
- Last sync -- When your content was last synced with Ghost.
- Sync status -- Whether the index is up to date, currently syncing, or encountered an error.
Search Issues
If any searches returned zero results in the last 30 days, the dashboard highlights them in a dedicated alert. These represent content gaps -- topics your readers are looking for but can't find. Consider creating content to address these queries, or add synonyms so existing content matches them.
Search Integration
The dashboard also displays your script tag for quick reference, with a copy button so you can easily paste it into Ghost's Settings → Code injection → Site Header.
