Templates

Choose a search bar template that fits your blog's design.

Vellumine offers two search bar templates. Each template provides a different layout and interaction style, so you can pick the one that best matches your blog's design. Starter collections use the Native template; the Grid template is available on Pro and Growth.

Search results are ranked together across posts and pages, so a relevant page can appear near the top instead of below every matching post. You can also choose how many results load at once; readers can fetch more from the search bar when additional matches are available.

On the Growth plan, advanced search is enabled automatically when you create a collection, and you can turn it off from Search Configuration at any time. Readers see a sliders icon inside the Native and Grid search inputs when advanced search is active. The panel stays hidden by default and lets readers refine results by searchable tag and author menus, published date, and sort order.

You can also hide the "Powered by Vellumine" footer link from the Native and Grid templates from the Branding section of the UI Customization page.

  • Available on Starter, Pro, and Growth
  • Lightweight appearance with minimal visual chrome
  • Focuses attention entirely on the search input and results
  • Works well with minimalist themes

Grid

A compact, inline-style results view. Suited for blogs that want a more integrated search experience:

  • Available on Pro and Growth
  • Compact result cards
  • Inline result display
  • Good for blogs with dense navigation or sidebar-heavy layouts
